Mentor registration

These terms and conditions govern your use of The Eduscale (“theeduscale”), a web-based portal and application (“Portal”) offered through this website (“Site”), any mobile or internet connected device. Your (“you”, “your” or “User”) use of the Portal and the Site is subject to these Terms and Conditions (“Terms”). By accessing the Portal and / or the Site you are agreeing to abide by all Terms. Before you proceed with your registration to this Portal, carefully read and accept the following Terms and check the consent form at the end of the document.

The content and intellectual property on the Portal and / or the Site may be used for the purposes of private, non-commercial viewing only. Any other use, including unauthorised downloading, reproduction, copying, modification, distribution, re-publication, display or performance of the content of this Portal and/or the Site is strictly prohibited without the express written consent of theeduscale.

theeduscale expressly reserves the right to make changes to the Portal and / or Site, including but not limited to these Terms and Privacy Policy at any time. Any changes shall be deemed to have been accepted if you continue to access or use the Portal and/or the Site.

Portal Overview

The Portal aims to provide access to modules pertaining to, inter alia, career guidance, mentorship (“Mentorship Module”), skill development, and related educational services (each referred to as a “Program” and together, “Services”).

Along with the Terms mentioned herein, you, by accessing the Program on the Portal, also agree to abide by the Mentorship Program Guidelines, as amended from time to time. In the event of any conflict between these Terms and the Mentorship Program Guidelines, the Mentorship Program Guidelines shall prevail for mentorship activities.

Eligibility

By agreeing to these Terms, you represent that you are legally competent to enter into an agreement and provide consent to these Terms. You further represent that:

• You are of sound mind;
• You are above 18 years of age and legally competent to enter into an agreement and provide consent to these Terms;
• You are not prohibited from entering into a legally binding contract as per applicable laws; and
• You meet the eligibility criteria specified for the Mentorship Programme.

In the event the Site and/or the Portal is being accessed for the benefit of a minor, you expressly confirm that you are legally competent and authorised to provide consent on behalf of such a minor and the minor's use of the Site and the Portal shall be subject to these Terms.

theeduscale reserves the right to blacklist and disqualify individuals without prior intimation in its sole discretion and without any liability arising thereof. Once blacklisted from the Program, an individual is not eligible to participate as a mentee or as a mentor, or otherwise for any activity on the Portal.

Registration

By registering for the Program, you confirm that you have read, understood, and agreed to the registration, matching process and Mentorship Program Guidelines.

You confirm that you shall only create, access, and/or use only one user account, unless expressly permitted by theeduscale, and you will not share access to your account or access information for your account with any third party.

You confirm that all information provided during the registration process for the Program is complete, true and verifiable. You agree to update your information to keep it accurate and complete.

While the Program will try its best to suggest suitable mentor-mentee pairing based on your preferences, the Program cannot guarantee a perfect match for every participant.

You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account access information and passwords. You shall be responsible for all uses of your registrations and passwords, whether or not authorized by you.

Feedback and Evaluation

You agree to participate in Program evaluations, surveys, or feedback requests to analyse the impact of the Program and thereby improve the quality of the Program. You consent to theeduscale including testimonials and survey data for marketing and promotional purposes in anonymised or consented form.

Privacy

By participating in the Program, you commit to respecting the confidentiality of information shared by your counterparts and shall not disclose sensitive or proprietary information to third parties. Whenever you give us personal data, you are consenting to its collection and use in accordance with theeduscale’s privacy practices for mentorship operations.

Intellectual Property

This Site and Portal and its content are protected by copyright and other intellectual property rights. No right to use or license any of those intellectual property rights is granted except as explicitly set out in these Terms. The logos, service marks and trade names displayed on the Site are the property of theeduscale or their respective owners.

Prohibited Conduct

You shall not host, display, upload, modify, publish, transmit, update or share any information which is unlawful, harmful, threatening, abusive, harassing, defamatory, vulgar, obscene, invasive of another’s privacy, hateful, or racially/ethnically objectionable; infringes intellectual property; contains viruses or malicious code; or threatens the unity, integrity, defence, security or sovereignty of India.

Liability and Caution

theeduscale is not responsible for the skills, experience, character, circumstances or other attributes of any mentor or mentee. Participation in the Program/Portal is completely voluntary. To the fullest extent possible by law, theeduscale’s maximum liability arising out of or in connection with the Site and / or Portal and / or Program, regardless of the cause of action, will not exceed INR 1,000/-.

Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless theeduscale, its contractors, service providers, consultants, agents, and representatives from and against any and all claims, losses, liability, damages, and/or costs arising from your access to or use of the Portal and/or Services, or your violation of these Terms or applicable law.

Termination

The Services offered to you may be terminated by theeduscale without assigning any reasons at any time at its sole discretion. Upon termination / suspension, you shall not have the right to use or access the Portal/Services.

Governing Law

These Terms are governed and construed in accordance with the laws of India. Courts in India shall have jurisdiction to hear disputes arising out of these Terms.

Consent

You confirm that you have read and understood these Terms and Conditions, and hereby expressly agree to abide by them. You understand that your participation in the Portal is contingent upon your acceptance of these terms.

Purpose

• To establish a mentor-mentee relationship.
• To facilitate the provision and receipt of mentorship by registering on this platform.
• Registering for and participating in mentor-mentee programs.
• Receiving communications related to registration and mentorship programs.

Duration
Your data will be retained only for the purposes outlined above and will be deleted in compliance with regulatory requirements.

Storage
We will not share your personal data with third parties. Appropriate security measures will be implemented to safeguard your personal data.

Mentorship Program Guidelines

Please read all the guidelines to be followed below and confirm.

Program Aims

The Mentorship Programme aims to facilitate conversations and connections between youth in need of career support and guidance and experienced industry professionals — with a focus on engineering pathways at theeduscale.

Program Objectives

Long Term
To enable Indian youth to access college admissions, nurture relevant skills and knowledge for their desired jobs, and achieve increased employability.

Short Term

• Youth gain access to experienced mentors for personal and professional growth.
• Mentees experience improved skills, knowledge, and confidence.
• Mentees have a clearer sense of their objectives and a path to achieve them.
• Mentees have personalized development plans aligned with their goals.
• Mentees expand their professional networks and gain valuable connections.

Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible as a mentor, an applicant must:

• Be currently employed, or have previous work experience
• Have at least a bachelor’s degree

To be eligible as a mentee, an applicant must:

• Be over 18 years of age

Areas of Mentorship

• Education, Academic Guidance and Skill Development — College admissions, academic planning, career path exploration, scholarships, study skills, certifications.
• Career Planning and Job Search — Goal setting, professional development, networking, resume building, interview preparation, job search techniques, internship opportunities.
• Entrepreneurship — Business idea validation, funding strategies, business development plan, marketing strategies, legal and compliance.
• Leadership and Professional Growth — Leadership development, career advancement, performance management, soft skills, networking for growth.

Application Process

1. Applicants must register as a user on the theeduscale portal.
2. Applicants must complete and submit the application for being a mentor or mentee.
3. The application will be reviewed by the team.
4. Successful applicants will be notified and onboarded onto the programme.

Mentor–Mentee Matching

theeduscale Mentorship follows a mentee-led matching process. Information from application forms is analysed taking into consideration preferences and areas of interest. A curated list of relevant mentor profiles may be made available to the mentee for selection. The mentor will be notified when successfully matched.

Meeting Structure

• 1:1 meetings hosted on an agreed online platform.
• Mentor-led meeting scheduling where possible; mentor and mentee notified of scheduled meetings.
• Duration and frequency decided mutually — no fixed minimum/maximum commitment unless programme rules say otherwise.
• Programme communications should preferably take place through theeduscale channels.

Feedback

• After every session: short feedback (mandatory when enabled)
• After end of the mentorship cycle
• At the end of the mentorship commitment

Rules and Regulations

Section 1 — Mentor responsibilities: Be transparent about expertise; collaborate with the mentorship team if there are concerns about a mentee’s well-being or progress; maintain a safe, inclusive environment.

Section 2 — Mentee responsibilities: Honour commitments; come prepared; propose agendas when useful; share brief progress updates.

Section 3 — Common responsibilities: Professionalism and punctuality; effective communication on the designated platform; professional and ethical conduct; respect for boundaries; no monetary assistance; realistic expectations. Failure to adhere may lead to disqualification.
